ATM Branch meeting in Swindon

Thanks to Joe Murray for his excellent talk and the really useful classroom activities. We all had fun working out those!! Thanks to all who attended!  Also a big thanks to St Joseph's for hosting us.

If you want some of the materials form last night, send either Joe or us an e-mail.  
Next Meeting is provisionally set for Monday 28th January 2013.

Working Algebraically 5 -19 Workshop.

We attended the "Working Algebraically 5 -19" Workshop at Exeter University on Sept 14th, 2012. Professor Anne Watson was the key speaker.  It was noted that students working at Key stages 2/3 need to grasp concepts in Algebra and Division if their mathematical progress is not to be inhibited. We also had a demonstration of Grid Algebra, software developed for the  ATM.

Specialist Teachers - apply now

Have you taught for at least two years, and have held a middle or senior management post in a UK School?  Do you teach one of the chosen subjects - eg Maths, Science, English, or MFL?   Why not apply for Specialist Teacher Status.   
Eligibility criteria may be found on the DfE web site by following the link.
Closing date 30 September 2012.
